Getting
Started
Upon receiving your completed registration,
we will send you an e-mail containing all the information
you need to be up and running in hours.
Site
Registration
If you registered your site as a virtual hosted site (mysite.ourdomain.com),
your web site should become accessible within an hour after
receiving your welcome e-mail with your user name and password.
If you
registered your site as a fully qualified domain (www.mysite.com),
your site should become accessible within one week, depending
on when the domain name was registered or transferred by
Network Solutions.
Uploading
Your Web Site
Regardless of the type of site registered, you can upload
your files to our servers within an hour of receiving your
welcome e-mail. Currently,
our servers do not support the Direct Publish features found
in either Microsoft FrontPage or Netscape Composer. CyberSex
Network does support direct publishing from WS
FTP.
FTP
Client Software
Our servers use the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) to upload
files. You will need an FTP client application to load your
files to our server. If you do not already use an FTP client,
you will need to download one and install it on your computer.
yberSex Nwtork recommends three FTP Clients. For Windows
users, we recommend FTP
Voyager and WS_FTP.
For Macintosh users, we recommend Fetch.
Setting
Up Your Home Page
The first time you access your FTP directory you will find
a page titled "index.htm." This is the current home page,
a temporary link that simply displays a welcome page until
you build your web site. Delete this page to begin setting
up your web site. Then, upload your home page and name it
"index.html". We
have also created a directory called "content" all your
adult content (pictures) need to be in this directory for
your website to work. This
step is very important. Make sure that your "default" or
"index" page is at the top level of your account directory.
Do NOT put it in a sub-directory. If you try to access your
web site with your browser and get an error message that
says "Directory Listing Denied," it means the server is
looking for an index or default page and can not find it.
Confirm that you have either a default or index page - but
not both - at the top level of your directory.
